Door Dash Driver Furious Over $5.00 Tip

Door Dash Driver Furious Over $5.00 Tip - Libertarian Country

Libertarian Country |

A Door Dash driver becomes irritated with a customer who presumably lives in a nice house when she gave him a $5 tip. He is heard to remark on her doorbell camera "I just want to say, this is a nice house for a $5.00 tip". The customer, clearly shocked by the young man's negative comment replies, "You're welcome", As he walks away from her, he snaps back, "Fuck you".

Clearly not happy with his low tip.

Now,

If you want a libertarian perspective on the incident, you've come to the right place.

Do I like to tip? Absolutely. I would have given him a minimum of $10.00 just for the drive out. Much more if I was already drunk. However, that does not give this man carte blanch to be impolite on someone's private property just because he didn't get what he wanted. This doesn't make the customer a bad person. What she did was not wrong.

First of all, it's important to remember that if you don't actually know someone, then you should not judge their situation.

She could have been just another working class plebian trying to make ends meet house sitting for extra money. Ya know, someone who just wanted to treat herself on the weekend to some pizza. It's really irrelevant, but just saying, you don't know shit. Keep your mouth shut.

Good Ideas Don't Require Force Shirt

He might of been having a bad day and maybe he's been going through some financial stress, but that doesn't give him the right to take it out on someone else. You should still be grateful for what you have.

Secondly, it's none of your damn business where someone lives or how nice their house is. You are not entitled to more of what they have simply because you brought food to their house. They're paying for a service. They're not going to give you a percentage of their estate because they got a pizza delivered to their home. Nor should they ever do that.

Think about it. Have you ever had someone cut your grass, shovel your snow, build an addition on your house, repair your toilet, fix your ice maker, paint, or any other renovation? Sure, you may have tipped them well, but where do you draw the line?

Did you add any of those people to the deed to your house? Are you going to split the profit with the paperboy when you sell your home? Let them take out loans on the equity of your house?

The Marxian bullshit attitude that everyone owes you something because they have more is a threat to the nation's sanity. Nay, the world's sanity. Door Dash owner recommends a minimum tip of $5.00, that's what she paid. Get over it. You're free to find another source of income.
