Molon Labe is a historic expression of defiance meaning "Come and take them". It was reported that King Leonidas I of Sparta responded with these words to Xerxes I of Persia when they demanded Greece to lay down their weapons. 300 Spartans were killed in a moral victory that dealt serious damage to Persia that had a standing army of 10,000, severely inhibiting their progress to Athens. The spirit of defiance has been carried over to the modern gun rights movement to protect the second amendment, and to resist government tyranny, mainly the confiscation of our weapons to defend ourselves from threats both foreign and domestic.
